Dolphins’ Jay Ajayi hugs childhood hero as he makes history at Wembley Stadium

Jay Ajayi couldn’t hold back his emotions ahead of his historic appearance at Wembley Stadium.

The Dolphins running back on Sunday became the first London-born skill position player to take the field for an international NFL game in Miami’s matchup against the Saints.

“Having local heroes has always been something we see as a key part of growing the sport,” Mark Waller, the NFL’s executive vice president for international, told NFL.com. “Jay’s success has given us a player who gains national media attention and can create headlines through scoring TDs in a way that a lineman, for example, can never achieve.

“He is someone we can use as a success story when talking to young British athletes about the potential of taking up our sport.”

Ajayi, who moved to the United States at age seven, also shared a special moment with his childhood hero as he hugged retired footballer Thierry Henry before the game.

Roethlisberger said Brown’s attitude didn’t set a good example for young players and undermines his “superhuman” talent.

“AB is the best receiver in the world, maybe one of the best to ever play the game,” Roethlisberger told 93.7. “I’d like to think him and I together may be one of the best quarterback-wide receiver combos to ever play the game. I don’t know he needs to react that way. He’s superhuman on the football field, and when that happens, it almost brings him back to being a mere mortal, if you will. Because it gets in his head and it just messes with all of us a little bit. … I’m not trying to call AB out. I just think this is causing a distraction that none of us really Cheap Jerseys Shop need.”

Coach Mike Tomlin said at his weekly news conference that he didn’t see the sequence but heard about it afterward and hopes Brown makes the proper Cheap Jerseys US adjustments.

That hasn’t quite been the case so far in his first two seasons in the league.

Orchard is technically kind of a tweener because while he is 6’4, he only weighs 255 pounds. That worked out just fine when he was an outside linebacker his first two seasons because it allowed him to play in space more and not have to worry about getting double teamed by an offensive tackle and tight end, one of the hardest things for most tweeners to do. But Orchard always played the run pretty stoutly, so I don’t worry about the change to defensive end being hard for him, especially since that’s what he played in college.

The one thing that is going to be hard to predict is how much playing time Orchard will get. One would assume Garrett is starting at defensive end on one side and Ogbah on the other.

That made his evaluation really frustrating because when he did get opportunities he made plays. I mean the guy averaged over 24 yards a reception, which is fucking insane at any level of football. He had 10 touchdowns on just 40 catches which was also absurd. Because of all Cheap Jerseys Outlet Shop that untapped potential, I figured Dorsett’s best days would be ahead of him in the NFL where teams were more likely to actually throw him the ball.

His rookie year he got off to a slow start. He missed five games in the regular season, didn’t have any starts, only caught 18 balls, and averaged a paltry 12.5 yards per catch to go with one touchdown. Not exactly what Indianapolis expected when it took him in the first Cheap Jerseys Shop round.
