Mike Tomlin ‘truly appreciates’ contract extension through 2020

Mike Tomlin will be staying in Pittsburgh for the foreseeable future.

The Steelers announced Friday they have given the 45-year-old coach a new contract that will run through the 2020 season.

And to be clear, Aikman — Fox’s top NFL analyst — isn’t buying the “mistakes of youth” defense.

“I think the guy, what little dealings I’ve had with him, I don’t think he’s — I’m careful how I say this — I don’t think he’s necessarily a bad guy,” Aikman said on Lance Armstrong’s podcast “The Forward” (via The Dallas Morning News). “But I also don’t buy into, ‘Well, he’s 21 years old’ or ‘He’s 22 years old’ or however old he is or any other player in the NFL. That’s old enough to know right from wrong and how to act.

“At 22, I knew, I’m not saying I always did the right thing, but I knew what [was] right and I knew how I was supposed to act. So you can’t put it off on youth.”

Seong-Beom Na could be the next Korean import to shine in MLB

With many Asian-born talents playing in MLB, interest in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) is higher than ever.

And with Brewers slugger and former NC Dinos first Cheap Jerseys Cycling baseman Eric Thames having garnered tremendous attention this season with a .935 OPS and 20 home runs as of June 27, observers are on the lookout for the next potential KBO star import.

McCaffrey’s morning began with a walk to the Panthers’ practice fields alongside fullback Darrel Young and running back Fozzy Whittaker before a brief stop on the sideline for a pre-practice prayer with Charlotte’s skyline looming in the background.

Then came two hours of McCaffrey lining up in just about every formation and position imaginable, from the backfield to the slot, giving the Panthers’ offense a blank canvas with a full palette of weapons and possibilities.

“It’s great,” he said. “I figure the more ways I can be dynamic, the better, for the coaches, for me, for the team, so whatever they ask me to do, that’s what I’ll do.”
