Matt Ryan goes from ‘Ice’ to fire to, yes, finally ‘elite’

ATLANTA Move over Matty Ice. Make room for Matt Elite.

Both of those guys are still named Matt Ryan. Before what’s been an amazing, likely NFL MVP season that will end with his first shot at being Super Bowl MVP, the Falcons quarterback already was pretty darn good.

But the perception is that Ryan suddenly has seen the light, finally leading his to team to a long overdue NFC title.

When the Cowboys rolled into Lambeau Field on Oct. 16, they were preparing to face a Packers defense that was ranked No. 1 in rush defense. Green Bay had allowed just 171 rushing yards in four games, but the Cowboys obliterated that with 191 yards in the 30-16 victory.

Dallas rookie Ezekiel Elliott ran for 157 of those yards en route to leading the NFL in rushing. Fellow rookie Dak Prescott threw for 247 yards and three scores in the win.

Since losing four straight with a defense in shambles, the Packers entered the postseason as one of the leagues hottest teams and have ripped off seven straight wins as they continue their quest to run the table.

Winning at Dallas wont be easy with an underrated Cowboys defense led by All-Pro linebacker Sean Lee.

But Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has played well indoors and is red-hot. He led the NFL with 40 touchdown passes this season and hasnt thrown an interception since Nov. 13. He has tossed 22 touchdowns since. The Packers will likely be without leading receiver Jordy Nelson, however, because Trade Cheap Jerseys of a rib injury.

Anytime you play Green Bay in the playoffs,Lee said this week, thats Website For Cheap Jerseys a game you want to be a part of.

NFL asks George H.W. Bush to be honorary coin flipper at Super Bowl

‘We sacrifice a lot to be a part of this team,’ said Slater, a six-time Pro Bowler as a special teams ace. ‘There’s a lot demanded of you, a lot of pressure put on you and there’s a price to be paid. We certainly have paid that price. For that hard work and dedication to pay off in this moment, it’s really gratifying, it really is.

‘When you come here and you look in the rafters, you look around and see what we’ve accomplished here, you’re already as a player curious, ‘What is it about this place?’ Then when you see your leadership, the Tom Bradys of the world, the Devin McCourtys, the buy-in that they give, then it’s hard to not buy in because you’re going to be the odd man out. Then you look, ‘What are we buying into?’

‘We’re buying into a coach who understands how to prepare his team, that’s Quality Cheap Jerseys going to give his team the best chance to have success if they’ll only trust his process. I think year after year when we’ve been able to go out there and put great performances on the field then hey, man, obviously this coach knows what he’s talking about and knows what he’s doing so we’re going to continue to try to heed the coaching and advice that he gives us on a daily basis.

The NFL made a classy move this week by inviting George H.W. Bush the oldest living ex-president to be the honorary coin flipper Sunday at the Super Bowl.

Bush, 92, recently fought off pneumonia so his health remains in question. He has not yet accepted the invitation due to complications from his health.

Though it seems odd to ask a 92-year-old man who has no real affiliation with the sport to toss the coin, Bush does live in Houston, which is where the Falcons and Patriots will clash. And he is a big sports fan.

Bush showed up at the NCAA Tournament’s Final Four last year at NRG Super Cheap Jerseys Stadium and for years was a regular at Astros games.

Terrell Owens says Hall of Fame voters listening to wrong people about him

Former All-Pro receiver Terrell Owens on Wednesday gave his first interview since being rejected for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Appearing on “The Tim Graham Show” on Buffalo radio station WHLD, Owens again took shots at the Hall of Fame voting process.

Owens, who ranks second all time in receiving yards, was on the Hall of Fame Committee’s list of 15 finalists this year, his second year of eligibility.

“Considering my body of work and what I’ve done on the football field, that should be justification in itself for me to have gotten in as a first-ballot Hall of Famer and definitely this year,” Owens told Graham in a telephone interview.

Yes, we play a huge part in all of this draft madness, too. It’s the first time they will be hit with questions NFL Jerseys Paypal from all angles, including the beat reporters that they will soon need to face week after week. They have to hold court with a new audience, and the best players need to prove they NFL Jerseys Cheap can handle this aspect of being the face of a franchise.

The Combine at its best is an information-gathering session, more so than a full-scale evaluation of talent. Although it needs some changes, there are still five good reasons why it works well for every team in the NFL.

Myles Garrett has only 1 NFL draft goal; Browns vs. Cowboys not a factor

Two numbers carry special significance to Myles Garrett — 15 and 1.

The No. 15 is his college jersey at Texas A&M, which is an uncommon choice for a defensive end.

“It was a friendly wager between me and my high school (defensive line) coach,” Garrett told co-host Gil Brandt and me Wednesday night on SiriusXM NFL Radio. “He challenged me to get 15 sacks a season.”

Garrett now has another quest. That’s becoming the first Aggie player selected with the top overall pick in April’s draft — regardless of which team does the choosing.

Garrett is well aware that three former Texas A&M standouts — tackle Luke Joeckel (2013) and linebackers Von Miller (2011) and Quentin Coryatt (1992) — were selected at No. 2 in prior drafts. Garrett also knows about the stir caused when an ESPN video surfaced of him asking the Dallas Cowboys to trade with Cleveland to make him the No. 1 overall pick.

Wilson has credited Moawad for helping him rebound from a play call that will forever be known in NFL lore as “Second-and-dumb” after coordinator Darrell Bevell eschewed a running play Nike NFL Jerseys Wholesale to Marshawn Lynch in favor of a throw the Patriots were prepared for through pregame scouting.

Wilson did the latter. While the 2015 Seahawks didn’t Paypal Cheap Jerseys return to the Super Bowl, Wilson enjoyed his best statistical season to date with career highs in passing yards (4,024), completion percentage (68.1) and touchdowns (34).

Super Bowl collapse won’t define Kyle Shanahan as he takes over 49ers

The 49ers won’t introduce Kyle Shanahan as their new head coach until later this week, the team announced Monday night after making his hiring official.

It will take at least that long for him to gather all his baggage.

Come on, no way you didn’t see that coming. That’s not even the first time you heard that. Read the replies to the announcement on Twitter.

Those are hardly just bitter Falcons fans venting, dropping that stream of all-caps “Run the ball!,” or some variation of that, or of “You blew a 25-point lead in the Super Bowl.”

Earlier this week, Lady Gaga assured the press in Houston that there would be no “wardrobe malfunction” during her halftime show. But Fox may have a difficult decision to make.

There’s a big difference between accidental nudity on a family-friendly broadcast — and political speech. If Lady Gaga or the “Hamilton” cast blast Trump, does the network go along for the ride? After all, it would be legit news.

Jones is the biggest name on either Toronto Maple Leafs Cheap Jerseys side Very Cheap Jerseys listed on the injury report, but Atlanta fans shouldn’t be worried. He’s participated in practice all week (on a limited basis) with a toe sprain, but is expected to be fine. Earlier this week the receiver said, his toe is “good to go.”

Coach Dan Quinn didn’t seem to be concerned about Jones’ injury, either.

Maty Mauk, down but not out, is keeping his NFL dream alive

Maty Mauk sits at a table, a football in his hand. Leaning back in a desk chair, he tosses the football in the air.

His voice is steady, with the midwestern twang that was frequently heard on television following Missouri games as the quarterback was interviewed after big wins. Mauk was a winner in high school, a winner in college.

Now, after owning up to poor decisions, he wants to win at life. They are decisions, he said, that aren’t indicative of the full truth about who he is as a person.

Carroll is the ultimate players’ coach who gives his guys plenty latitude in their public comments (or non-comments, in the case of Marshawn Lynch). But the tipping point in this relationship obviously came when Sherman got into a sideline shouting match with Darrell Bevell after the offensive coordinator called a goal-line pass play during a late-season win over the Rams. To add fuel to the fire, Sherman told the media post-game, “We’ve already seen that,” referring to the infamous, last-minute interception in the 2014 Super Bowl loss to the Patriots. His outburst prompted a reportedly heated post-game discussion with Carroll.

In addition to the Bevell blow-up, Sherman’s refusal to speak to local media, coupled with a knee injury that affected his play over the second half of last season, made for a difficult 2016. This Cheap Jerseys MLB surely led to a feeling in the organization, and with Sherman, that a split was in everyone’s best interest.

When a divorce is inevitable, why wait and put more stress on both parties? It’s apparent that Sherman has one foot out the door, so how committed can he possibly be to Cheap Jerseys Good the team that made him a fifth-round draft pick in 2011?

Colin Kaepernick still unsigned ‘frustrating’ to fellow 49ers protester Eli Harold

Fellow anthem protester and 49ers linebacker Eli Harold told ESPN Wednesday he is disappointed former teammate Colin Kaepernick remains unsigned.

“It’s frustrating,” said Harold, who last year kneeled with Kaepernick and safety Eric Reid during the national anthem. “It’s frustrating for me because I really think it has everything to do with the protest that he did. Some general managers and owners are scared to touch him simply because they’re scared to lose revenue, money. We all know he’s better than some of these guys that went in free agency, but that’s neither here nor there. He’ll be signed by training camp, by the time training camp starts. But it’s frustrating.

Livingston’s New York-based organization helps parolees find jobs.Kaepernick recently donated about 50 suits to the group that parolees can wear on job interviews.

“He stood up for us. It’s only right that he took our issues in our communities and brought it to a national level and sacrificed salary and being ostracized by the NFL,” Livingston added. “It was only right that we stand up for him. I started this, literally, when he came to my office — I was moved.”

Along with the New York event, there will be others for the charity taking place simultaneously around the country. Schedule speakers include former NBA player Etan Thomas, New York State Senator James Sanders Jr., rapper Rah Digga, and Emerald Garner, a Cheap Ireland Football Jerseys daughter of Eric Garner, a man who died during a confrontation with police in New Cheap Jerseys China York in 2014.

Livingston expects about 40 people to show up for the gathering in New York.

Gisele reveals Tom Brady has had several concussions with Patriots

Gisele Bundchen was on “CBS This Morning” Wednesday and dropped some information that could land the Patriots in some trouble.

When asked to respond to comments her husband Cheap Goalkeeper Jerseys Tom Brady made in an ESPN interview, she casually revealed that he had a concussion last year and has apparently had several throughout the course of his career.

“[Football] is an aggressive sport. Like he had a concussion last year. He has concussions pretty much every, I mean we don’t talk about that, but he does have concussions,” she said. “I don’t really think it’s a healthy thing for your body to go through that.”

“Halfway through the year, you’re like, ‘OK, I’m balling,’ and then the other half I’m not getting the ball,” he said. “And you’re just like, ‘What’s going on?’ It was like, ‘OK, I see what’s happening. They don’t want me here anymore.'”

The numbers match Cruz’s theory, although “ballin” may have been strong language. In the first eight games, Cruz caught 25 passes for 377 yards and in the second half (he missed one week due to injury) he had 14 receptions for 209 yards.

While those numbers aren’t necessarily eye-popping, the revealing number is the fact Cruz played 90 percent of the snaps in New York’s first eight games compared to just 57 in the second half. He believes his usage was reduced in order for the team to save money and outrage from the fanbase.

Cowboys enter bid to host 2018 NFL Draft

That’s the reason they didn’t vote for Manny. And I get it, I really do. It makes sense. They officially know Manny cheated, so they’re officially not voting for him. There are a lot of players who are Hall of Fame-worthy on the ballot, and reasons not to vote for a player are, honestly, as welcome as reasons to vote for a player. The list has to be whittled down somehow.

But I want to bring a counterpoint into the discussion. I’m not saying this is the only right way to approach the ballot because there are no 100 percent correct answers. We’re Cheap Authentic Baseball Jerseys all out here trying to figure out the best way to approach a Hall of Fame vote we take very seriously (well, most of us). I’m just offering as much transparency as possible to one voter’s thought process.

Drew Pearson could soon be able to troll Eagles fans without being drowned out by boos.

The Cowboys have submitted a formal bid to host the 2018 NFL Draft., the Dallas Morning News reported.

According to the report, the draft would be split between AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and the team’s new headquarters and training facility 45 minutes north in Frisco.

“They know how we can configure for X-amount of people,” Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said. “Then they’ll come back to us with what they want which night.

“We don’t know exactly what they’ll want to do. We’re waiting to hear on that.”

Philadelphia hosted an estimated 250,000 fans at the draft last month, and police confirmed there were no arrests made in relation to the draft during the three-day event.cubs_1958

The 2017 NFL Draft saw offensive linemen wait to be selected longer than any year since the merger

The 2017 NFL Draft saw offensive linemen wait to be selected longer than any year since the merger. Yet the draft still resulted in several great player-team fits that should impact starting units immediately.

As we do within the mere hours and days following the NFL Draft, let’s get to projecting lineups for Week 1 and cascade effects for teams that bolstered their Cheap Denver Broncos Jerseys offensive fronts.

The Browns blew it by not completing a trade with the Patriots for Jimmy Garoppolo, who showed franchise ability when he led New England to 2016 opening wins over Arizona (which had the league’s second-ranked defense last season) and Miami.

Cleveland reportedly tried to ship the No. 12 overall pick to New England for Garoppolo. We don’t know whether the Browns offered additional picks and veteran players, but they certainly should have.

Josh Gordon has had many opportunities to play wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns. He’s running close to empty on his chances.

Gordon, who has been on indefinite suspension since he entered rehab in September, saw his application for reinstatement denied by the NFL on Thursday.

It once looked like Gordon might get back on the field after the first month of the 2016 NFL season. Now it looks like Gordon’s return to action is further away than ever. Although he’ll get a chance to apply to be reinstated again in the fall, there’s not much time for his situation to change.

From his days at Baylor that started to derail him to his consistent relapses while in the NFL, here’s a look at every twist of Gordon’s mostly troubled path.
