Colin Kaepernick still unsigned ‘frustrating’ to fellow 49ers protester Eli Harold

Fellow anthem protester and 49ers linebacker Eli Harold told ESPN Wednesday he is disappointed former teammate Colin Kaepernick remains unsigned.

“It’s frustrating,” said Harold, who last year kneeled with Kaepernick and safety Eric Reid during the national anthem. “It’s frustrating for me because I really think it has everything to do with the protest that he did. Some general managers and owners are scared to touch him simply because they’re scared to lose revenue, money. We all know he’s better than some of these guys that went in free agency, but that’s neither here nor there. He’ll be signed by training camp, by the time training camp starts. But it’s frustrating.

“He stood up for us. It’s only right that he took our issues in our communities and brought it to a national level and sacrificed salary and being ostracized by the NFL,” Livingston added. “It was only right that we stand up for him. I started this, literally, when he came to my office — I was moved.”

Along with the New York event, there will be others for the charity taking place simultaneously around the country. Schedule speakers include former NBA player Etan Thomas, New York State Senator James Sanders Jr., rapper Rah Digga, and Emerald Garner, a Cheap Ireland Football Jerseys daughter of Eric Garner, a man who died during a confrontation with police in New Cheap Jerseys China York in 2014.

Livingston expects about 40 people to show up for the gathering in New York.
