NFL Draft 2017: Deshaun Watson pick winning move by Texans

Deshaun Watson is a winner, and he’s going to prove the Texans right for trading up to select him 12th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft.

That trait — the trait you want most from a quarterback — somehow is devalued at times during the NFL Draft process. How else could you explain why a decorated five-star quarterback, a two-time Heisman Trophy finalist and a national champion was the third quarterback taken?

“That’s what you play football to do, is win,” Watson said. “Especially in the National Football League. If you can’t win games, then you’re not going to play for a very long time. That’s the value of the sport. … If you win games, people can’t talk about you.”

And on Saturday, in the fourth, they traded down twice, going back 28 spots, taking another wide receiver and signaling for good that they were out of the quarterback business for this draft.

That’s a worthwhile streak to end. It served as a reminder Cheap NFL Jerseys that, unless things change drastically this offseason and in training camp, the streak ended a year late.

Hackenberg is the biggest unknown of the quarterbacks they have — the second-rounder that perplexed everybody when they took him last year, then perplexed them further when he couldn’t get on the field at all during the disaster of that season.

Marshall starred at Central Florida before the Broncos took him to be a prolific pass-catcher. Despite some issues in Denver, he’s gone on to thrive more with the Dolphins, Bears and Jets, and he will try to help the Giants, too.
